Keye, an AI platform built exclusively for private equity, has launched from “stealth” mode with a $5 million seeding financing round from a range of investors.

The firm says it harnesses AI to help private equity investors sift through a mass of ideas and opportunities that would otherwise be laborious and relatively costly.

The seed financing came from Sorenson Capital, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, ERA, Tiferes Ventures, Dunamu Ventures, and Palm Drive Capital. Angel investors who took part included Kaz Nejatian (chief operating officer at Shopify), Philip Rathle (chief technology officer at Neo4j), and Clark Valberg (former CEO of InVision), Keye said in a statement this week. 

(A "stealth" startup, as the adjective implies, is a company that develops a product or a service without the public knowing or interfering in the process.)

“Private equity teams face increasing pressure to evaluate more deals faster while maintaining rigorous analysis standards,” Keye said. “Traditional due diligence processes are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and often fail to surface critical insights that separate winning deals from value traps. As competition intensifies and deal timelines compress, firms struggle to make confident decisions quickly without compromising on thoroughness, leading to missed opportunities and suboptimal investment decisions.”

The Keye platform delivers structured, audit-ready outputs that help teams give consent, or refusal, far more quickly and more confidently than before.

"The diligence process hasn't fundamentally changed in decades, even as the pace of dealmaking has accelerated dramatically," Rohan Parikh, founder and CEO of Keye, said. 

"We built Keye because we lived this pain as investors – spending weeks on manual analysis that could be automated, missing critical patterns in the data, and struggling to synthesize insights fast enough to win competitive processes. The biggest investors in this round were initially users who saw how our platform helps them create alpha through better decisions backed by real math,” he added. 

Keye said the seed funding will speed up hiring, particularly for engineers and private equity domain experts, and expand Keye's analytical capabilities.

Vestmark
Vestmark, a US-based provider of wealth management software and services, has entered a strategic relationship with Fidelity Investments to provide eligible advisors of RIAs and broker-dealers access to an open-architecture custom model portfolio platform.

The Vestmark platform will enable eligible RIAs and broker-dealers to access open-architecture, custom model portfolios that can include semi-liquid interval funds, exchange-traded funds (ETF), and mutual funds, within a single portfolio and custodial account, the firm said in a statement. The Vestmark platform will be offered through Fidelity at no cost to certain participating firms.

“Through this strategic relationship with Vestmark, we’re excited to expand access to open-architecture custom model portfolios for RIAs and broker-dealers, including semi-liquid alternative investment products. These solutions are fully integrated with Vestmark’s platform and supported by Fidelity’s unique institutional research and investment expertise,” said Amanda Robinson, head of Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions Specialist Distribution at Fidelity Investments.
